- Whole years and months are taken first and the remaining days come last, so 31 January to 1 March is one month and one day

FAQ
Is the end date included in the count?
No. The result is the time elapsed between the two dates, so the end date is excluded: 1 January to 2 January is one day. Add one yourself if you need an inclusive count, for example when counting hotel nights versus days.
Why are the weekdays not simply days × 5 ÷ 7?
Because the start and end fall on different weekdays, the leftover days after the full weeks are not evenly distributed. The calculator counts each residue day by its actual weekday, so a 30-day span can hold 21, 22 or 23 weekdays.
Do time zones or daylight saving change the result?
No. Dates are compared as plain calendar dates without a time of day, so a daylight saving shift of one hour cannot add or remove a day.
