Hither is a small, single-purpose service built around one idea: an app’s store URL should not have to be duplicated for every market. You paste an App Store link or a numeric App ID, and Hither returns a stable hither.link address that represents that app everywhere. The same app always maps to the same Hither link, which means you can prepare and circulate the URL before release day without worrying that it will change later.
Routing happens per click rather than per campaign. Cloudflare reports the visitor’s country with each request, so nothing is asked of the user, and Hither queries Apple’s public lookup to confirm whether the app is sold in that market. That answer is cached for about a day, keeping repeat clicks fast. The visitor is then sent to the app’s page with their own country code filled in.
Availability gaps are handled explicitly. If the app is not sold in the detected country, Hither searches other storefronts automatically, starting with the US and moving through other large markets until it finds one carrying the app. This makes the link usable in regions where a launch has not yet happened, instead of dropping visitors on a dead page.
It is aimed at indie developers, launch teams, and marketers who post a single link in bios, press kits, ads, or QR codes and cannot tailor it per region. Because it only covers Apple’s storefront, teams also shipping on Android will still need a separate solution. A sensible approach is to use Hither for App Store traffi
