Ovok is a backend platform aimed at teams building digital health and remote patient monitoring products. Rather than starting from a blank infrastructure, developers get an FHIR R4 data store as the foundation, so clinical data is structured in a widely used healthcare interoperability standard from day one.
The platform connects more than 50 supported devices, including blood pressure monitors, sleep radars, SpO₂ monitors, and urine analysers and wearables. Device readings land in FHIR, and your team configures Signals enrollment per patient; only eligible vital-sign readings from enrolled patients are forwarded for alert evaluation. Data can flow to your own app, clinician dashboards, EHRs, and other systems.
It fits engineering and product teams at digital health startups, remote monitoring providers, and healthcare organizations that want FHIR-native storage without building device integrations and alert routing themselves. The MDR Class IIa Signals evaluation and AWS Frankfurt hosting point to European deployments.
A sensible approach is to start with the free tier and the documentation, model one remote monitoring use case end to end, then confirm device coverage and per-monitored-patient pricing against your rollout plans. Keep in mind that Ovok is not a certified medical-device product, so your own regulatory obligations still apply.
