Bestboy is a small suite of open source Mac applications aimed at people who build software with AI agents. Its premise is that agents now write much of the code, so the bottleneck has shifted to the surrounding work: writing detailed prompts, managing multiple agents, and gathering useful feedback on results.
The suite is organized around three apps. Tony handles dictation so you can speak prompts instead of typing them, which the site claims is roughly three times faster. Malini lets you run agents side by side, keeping their work separate and comparable. Grip focuses on getting quality feedback on what you have built.
The site frames the problem through a realistic week: a feature is finished, but briefing agents, keeping them apart, and reviewing output still consume hours. Bestboy is positioned for ambitious individual builders and small teams who already lean on agents and want to reduce that overhead.
Because the apps are open source and the project is bootstrapped, you can inspect the code and download the apps directly. Start with the slowest part of your week, as the site suggests, and adopt the individual apps rather than the whole suite at once. Documentation and an llms.txt file are provided for agent integration.
