Riff Calendar

Riff Calendar is an iPhone calendar built around a single continuous view. Instead of switching between month, week and day modes, you zoom from a half-year overview down to a detailed day, hour by hour. The goal is to make scheduling feel as direct as writing in a paper pocket planner.

The core interaction is event creation by holding a free slot. A new event appears where you hold, and you can slide to adjust the start or drag the bar at its foot to set the duration. Drags snap to round times by default, and pausing before dragging or using the time tag lets you set exact times. All changes happen with your calendar in view, so rescheduling occurs among your other events rather than in a separate form.

Riff also remembers your regular events, suggesting titles as you type the beginning of a previously used one. It requires iOS 26 or later and is distributed through the App Store.
