Odd Orbit layers public open data from NOAA, NASA, USGS and others onto a MapLibre 3D globe, covering quakes, aircraft, the ISS, aurora and storms. Its distinctive mystery pack adds UFO reports and folklore, explicitly labeled as unverified. Best for curious users who want a single live Earth dashbo

站点介绍

Odd Orbit is a free, ad-free phone web app that renders Earth as a live 3D globe in any browser. It requires no account and uses no tracking cookies, and it is supported by optional Ko-fi tips. The project positions itself as a live map of the unexplained, pairing real-time environmental data with a clearly separated set of mystery-themed layers.

The live layers draw on public sources including USGS, NOAA, NASA, MET Norway, CelesTrak, NWS and NHC. Users can view recent earthquakes, nearby aircraft, wind arrows, the ISS position and ground track, overhead satellites, aurora forecasts, solar storm and radio fade data, clouds, radar, tropical storms, fires, the night side and city lights. A weather panel and location search round out the interface.

The mystery pack adds labeled UFO reports, cryptid folklore and internet legends, along with a Creepy Mode and the Odd Orbit Dot. These layers are presented as reports, folklore and fiction rather than fact, which keeps the entertainment content distinct from the scientific feeds.

Because live data and satellite imagery need a connection, the app still opens offline but reconnects automatically. It suits casual explorers, space and weather enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys oddities presented with clear sourcing. New users should start with a few live layers, then explore the mystery pack with its labeling in mind.
