Deepswapp Browser positions itself as a way to read the internet on your own terms. Rather than blocking ads or tweaking a reader mode, it rebuilds a website into a single-file HTML page that renders only essential data, stripping cookie popups, backgrounds, and animations. The result can resemble Wikipedia, old Reddit, or your own layout, depending on the transformation you choose.
The core mechanism is a deepswapp workflow that runs through Taskbot.APP, available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Docker. A fresh transformation takes roughly ten minutes and costs about $0.40 on deepseek-v4.1-flash, with the cost halving for sites already processed. Once complete, the transformed site is reusable without further AI calls, and features like synchronized tabs, synchronized scrolling, data auto-refresh, and image lazy loading keep the lightweight page usable day to day.
The broader Taskbot ecosystem extends the same approach to other missing features, such as generating an RSS feed from a GitHub Dashboard or muting non-English posts on Mastodon with a SQL history. These workflows illustrate the intended audience: people comfortable installing a desktop tool and running scripted automations to reshape web services they use regularly.
For best results, start with a site you visit often so the one-time processing cost pays off through repeated AI-free use. Expect to log in manually for some workflows, and treat the ten-minute initial run as a setup step rather than instant browsing
