Clonecode is a site reproduction service built around a simple premise: instead of describing a design to an AI assistant, you hand it the actual measurements. You paste a URL, the service copies the page on its own servers, and you receive a packaged kit rather than a loose pile of files.
The kit has three parts. First, a mirror of the site that runs locally after a double-click on start.bat or start.sh, requiring only Node. Second, DESIGN.md and tokens.json capturing the exact colors, fonts and spacing found on the page. Third, ready-to-use prompts tailored to Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, v0, Bolt and ChatGPT, so an AI can rebuild from concrete values.
The copy process covers the rendered page, lazy-loaded images, network requests and rewritten URLs for offline use, then measures typography and spacing before writing the design documents. A progress view shows each stage as it completes.
It is most useful for front-end developers, designers and indie builders who want a starting point for a rebuild or a reference implementation, and who already use AI coding assistants in their workflow. Anyone expecting a finished production site should treat the output as a scaffold.
Start with a single landing page to judge output quality before committing to larger sites, and review the generated DESIGN.md against the original. The first two pages are free, which makes that trial inexpensive.
