Tinfoil

Tinfoil is a security research lab that has built an AI cloud focused on private, verifiable computation. Its core premise is that privacy should be provable rather than promised: workloads run inside secure hardware enclaves, and users can check attestation to confirm how their data is handled. The platform is aimed at people and organizations for whom data confidentiality is a hard requirement, not an afterthought.

The product lineup covers three levels of use. Tinfoil Chat offers conversations with capable AI assistants in the browser and on iOS for $20 per month. Tinfoil Inference provides an OpenAI-compatible, open-source API for building AI applications that keep all data private, billed by usage. Tinfoil Containers lets teams run any Docker image inside a secure enclave, extending the same privacy and verifiability guarantees to custom AI workloads.

The service suits privacy-conscious individuals, developers building sensitive applications, and companies with strict data-handling obligations. Customer stories reference organizations such as Duck.ai that pair zero data retention with hardware attestation. Researchers and security teams evaluating confidential computing will also find the open-source, verifiable approach relevant.

To get started, pick the product that matches your needs: the chat app for everyday private use, an API key for application development, or containers for custom workloads. Because pricing is usage-based for the API and containers, it is wor
