Dinemic is positioned as an edge network you run yourself. Instead of routing domains, certificates, and traffic through an external platform, it installs an agent on each machine and lets you describe the desired setup in a Control Plane. The project is developed by a small independent team in Italy and Poland, is published under AGPL-3.0, and explicitly avoids accounts or terms that can change against your interests.
The core feature set covers the ingress basics in one system: authoritative DNS, load balancing, automatic Let’s Encrypt certificates, and an encrypted Dinemic Network Mesh connecting all servers. Management happens through a single API and CLI, and a Console provides a visual interface. Because it works across any provider, country, bare metal, or even a Raspberry Pi, the same workflow applies whether you run one box or a fleet.
It is aimed at developers, sysadmins, and small infrastructure teams who already operate their own servers and want to keep the traffic path under their control. Homelab users and privacy-conscious operators are a natural fit, especially those who dislike being locked into a single cloud vendor or forced into an account relationship.
A sensible approach is to start with one agent and a single domain, confirm DNS and certificate issuance work as expected, then expand to load balancing and the mesh as more machines join. Reading the docs and checking the source code before rollout helps, since you are responsible for the underlying ho
