Devin is an AI software engineering agent, and this release packages an internal remediation workflow as an open-source plugin. It was published in response to the October 21, 2026 PHP and Node.js security updates for vulnerabilities permitting remote code execution, and it works with Devin or any other coding agent.
The plugin goes beyond editing a version string. It locates affected repositories and deployments, including container images, OS packages, CI pipelines, and infrastructure configuration, then asks for confirmation before making changes. Each deployment is patched to a verified fixed version, and the application is tested both before and after the change.
Output is deliberately narrow: one focused pull request per repository, which keeps security reviews readable and easy to audit. Applications on unsupported runtime versions may still require compatibility work, which the workflow surfaces rather than hides.
It suits platform, security, and infrastructure teams facing a broad dependency footprint, especially those already running an agent in their development process. Start by letting the plugin inventory affected repositories before approving any edits, and review the generated PRs as you would any security patch.
