eze is an open-source hosting platform designed to be run inside a company. Its core idea is simple: take a folder of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, deploy it, and receive a link that only signed-in coworkers can open. Unlike public hosting services, eze keeps sites private by default and runs on infrastructure you control, with an MIT license and GitHub-based setup.
The platform provides a backend without requiring backend code. Pages load one script from eze and gain access to several built-in capabilities: eze.db for saving and querying data with live updates, eze.files for uploading images, video and PDFs, eze.ws for real-time rooms such as cursors, chat and games, eze.ai for calling Claude, OpenAI or your own model, and eze.id for identifying the viewer by name and email. Because these use the viewer’s company sign-in, no API keys appear in the code.
Deployment is handled through a command-line tool or the eze dashboard. Running eze deploy or dropping a folder onto the dashboard publishes the site to a subdomain such as lunch-vote.eze.acme.com. The workflow is intentionally lightweight, so small internal tools, polls, dashboards and collaborative pages can be built and shared quickly.
eze is aimed at teams and developers inside organizations that want private internal websites without standing up a full backend or relying on external hosting. It is also useful for people using AI coding tools, since plain HTML output can be deployed directly. Users should be comfortable wi
