Site introduction

NoteNest is a practice tracking app built around a simple idea: log every song you learn and use that record to understand your progress. It is aimed at guitarists, bassists and other musicians who want a clearer view of what they have worked on and where their skills stand.

The core workflow is song logging. Each song you learn becomes an entry you can track over time, alongside skill and mastery indicators. BPM data from GetSongBPM adds tempo context, which can help when planning practice or revisiting a piece at a different speed.

The app suits self-directed musicians who already practice regularly but lack a structured record of their repertoire. It is less about lessons or sheet music and more about accountability and visibility into long-term progress across songs and skills.

A practical approach is to log songs as you start learning them, update mastery as you improve, and review the list before each practice session to decide what needs attention. NoteNest is free to start, making it easy to test whether song-level tracking fits your routine.
