Rechenwerk is a programmer’s calculator app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android. It is aimed at people who regularly work with hexadecimal, binary and octal numbers and want those representations visible at once rather than converted one at a time.
The core screen shows hex, decimal, octal and binary side by side, and values can be mixed within a single expression. Users can work through an RPN stack or switch to algebraic entry, and individual bits can be tapped to flip them while the numbers update.
It supports 1–64-bit word sizes, four number bases and 16 registers, with a design inspired by the HP-16C and Amiga-era assembler work. This makes it suited to embedded developers, systems programmers and retro-computing fans.
If you need quick base conversion, bit inspection or RPN-style calculation on Apple or Android devices, Rechenwerk covers those tasks in one focused app.
